Loola Camping Trip

22nd of July, Sunday:

Got to school at 9:30 if I remember correctly. Everyone arrived and the we got on the bus. About 4 hours of traveling, we reached Loola, the journey was quite uneventful. Found out that we'd be sleeping in the huts for the first 2 nights and the girls will sleep in the huts for the last 3 nights. Was also informed that the two classes were to take turns making breakfast, starting with 8JTo. Not much activity except for the trust fall one at night before lights out at 11pm.

23rd of July, Monday:

Was confused as to which time we were following so I ended up setting my alarm one hour late. But I managed to wake up without it. The huts weren't really bad, excluding the shower, toilets and all the sand. Had some trouble making breakfast but we managed.
First activity for the day was the low ropes course. Some people had trouble with the obstacle course but some just went through it easily. It was raining and everyone was completely drenched.
After lunch, which was surprisingly good, we walked for nearly an hour to get to the river and canoed down the river to the open sea. We went in two man canoes and most of us, excluding the scouts (they attented a canoing course some time ago) canoed right into the trees. After a few times of banging into each other and into trees, we pretty much got the hang of steering and it was fun.
Had dinner and another activity, then it was time to sleep.

24th of July, Tuesday:

Woke up and found out that we were VERY late. Rushed to get ready and then ran all the way to the fire pit. It was 8PCa's turn to make breakfast and our turn to run. Since we were late, we had to run thrice the distance. After a rather amusing (Yes, I find it amusing) attempt at getting everyone to climb up a 2m high wall within the shortest amount of time possible, we had breakfast. There was some dispute between the two classes and food was wasted.
Took an hour+ walk and got to another beach and then went boom-netting. Boom-netting was very fun, though accidents happened. I was in the water then, I saw someone jumping from the side of the boat, grabbed the railing for a split second then fell 2 stories into the deck of the boat. My mind raced and I was thinking "Oh god is he/she alive?" Climbed onto the deck as fast as I could and saw Ivor lying there with nothing more then a few scratches.
After boom-netting, came lunch. We had to cook our own instant noodles and we were allowed two packs of instant noodles and eggs each. But there were lots of extras left so I was allowed to take more. Ended up cooking and eating 4 packs of instant noodles and eggs.
After lunch, we started the trek back to Loola. Got lost somewhere in the middle of the jungle/kampung and we wandered around for awhile. It got darked and there were only 2 torchlights around. Felt like kicking myself for not bringing mine along then.
When Loola was in sight, I never felt so happy to see it.
It was time for us to move out of the huts and instead of going to sleep in the tents, we slept either on the moon deck or the restaurant deck. It was better then the huts, I daresay.

25th of July, Wednesday:

It was our turn to make breakfast again, and it went quite well. First two activities for the day was rock climbing and flying fox. Rock climbing was nothing special, and everyone seemed to love the flying fox. It was quite fun. After that was lunch and then we went sailing. I was in the same boat as Pocholo and the wind was good for awhile. We almost capsized when the Pocholo let go of the line and the wind blew the boom and it swung around, banging right into my face, it hurt but I managed to climb onto the boat and use my weight to stop the boat from capsizing. When the wind died down I had to get down and pull it back to shore. After dinner, we were told to ask the staff for ghost stories. It was amusing to see people's frighted and scared face. Oh wait, I forgot to mention that....THIS IS THE ONLY DAY FOR THE WHOLE CAMP THAT DIDN'T RAIN!! :D

26th of July, Thursday:

Everyone woke up and got ready in time so we didn't had to run the extra distance. Tried climbing the yellow wall again and we finished it slightly faster then the last time.
After breakfast, we were split into 3 teams and had to build a raft each for a small race. We couldn't even get onto our raft and everything came apart, very amusing to see. So we resorted to pulling the rafts and whacking the only team who were successful at staying on their raft down with the paddles. After that, people were free to choose their activities. Some went sailing and some went canoeing. I went canoeing and it was fun going against the waves. Right after we got back, it started raining heavily, most of the activities were canceled and I just sat down doing nothing for most of the afternoon. I quickly went and took a shower before everyone got back from canoeing. Then I watched, amused as everyone ran for the showers, trying to get there first.
Dinner was interesting and it was campfire night. We sat around the fire and sang some random songs before carrying on with our skits. After that, we took some marsh mellows and roasted them before heading back to the decks to sleep.

27th of July, Friday:

I woke up early, and happily ran and got ready. Packed my stuffs up as fast as I could and then after breakfast, we headed for the orphanage. There were two buses and the bus I was in broke down in the middle of the road and we had to switch buses.
The kids at the orphanage were nice, and we didn't really do much there. After that, we boarded the ferry and 2 hours later, reached Singapore. I reached home at 9pm and lied on my bed, glad that it was all over.

That's pretty much it.

Back from Loola

I survived Loola! Only two cuts, nothing more. It was actually fun, if you exclude the showers and toilet, and some of the activities *coughjungletrekcough*.

Apparently, it seems all my data from my other computer is confirmed to be lost forever. Except if I'm willing to spend 2000 Sing bucks, which I am not willing to. So I started the first step to recovering my entire collection of all sorts of stuffs by starting a crazy amount of torrents.

Musics and pictures are the first priority, followed by animes and games. Animes I'll leave it to my cousin to help me download since I can't download here in Singapore.

Camping trip and fun....maybe....

I have a camping trip to Bintan tomorrow. I'll be back on Friday night so don't even think about an update for the next week.

I laugh and pity those of you who hasn't played Okami for the PS2. No, seriously, go play it. I'd buy it for you to play if needed, seriously. For those of you living in M'sia or Singapore anyway. No, I'm serious.

Busy week

First, my laptop computer died on me. I called my mom and she told me to go buy a new one. So now here I am with a Compaq Presario V3000, with specs that's way better then my old laptop, but the problem would be that this is Windows Vista. And I can tell you, I hate it.

All my data is salvageable but that'll have to be on another day, like maybe in a month. Meanwhile, I'll be busy trying to finish the homework, setting up my new computer and many other things. Don't expect much updates.

Crap, running out of titles to put

Well a few days before the holidays ended, I was staying up LATE at night, to the point of not sleeping at all to play Odin Sphere and Okami, trying to cram as much game time as possible before I get back to school. The result being I wasn't right in the mind for a good few days until I got enough sleep. Painful and really bad for your health, but fun nonetheless.

School started on Monday and I had to get my bearings right. Bintan trip coming up in 2 weeks, busy as always.

A penny for your thoughts?

Well, the holidays are almost over, and thoughts just swarmed my mind and I can't clear my mind of them. Oh well, there's the long holiday at the end of the year, though it's quite a long way to go. I just wish that this life of school would someday end, permanently.

Just got the PS2 back from my cousin. Started playing Okami and I had to force myself to stop playing. Good change from playing the Wii for so long.
